The application process for studying abroad can be complex, time-intensive, and filled with uncertainty. With our guidance and clearly defined steps, we help you navigate the entire journey — confidently, efficiently, and without unnecessary stress.
ABOUT THE APPLICATION PROCESS
A clear path from decision to admission
Applying to universities abroad requires strong organisation, a clear understanding of requirements, and timely action. International programmes follow defined deadlines and specific criteria that must be carefully aligned in advance.
Why Arte et Marte?
At Arte et Marte, we approach applications as a structured process. We guide each candidate through every stage with clarity and composure, ensuring that every step is thoughtful, well-prepared, and aligned with the expectations of the chosen institution.
Application steps
A structured process in four clearly defined stages
1. Preparing your application documents
Every strong application begins with well-structured documentation. The process starts with creating an account on the university platform and understanding the specific requirements of your chosen programme.
Throughout this stage, we support you in developing and refining all key components of your application — including your CV, personal statement or essay, letters of recommendation, responses to additional questions, as well as the translation and certification of academic documents.
We place particular emphasis on clarity and consistency, ensuring that your materials present your academic profile, motivation, and long-term goals with credibility and precision.
CV development
Your CV presents your education, experience, and achievements in a clear and structured way. We tailor it to your chosen programme and institution, ensuring it accurately reflects your academic profile and potential.
Essay writing
Essays are a central part of your application, offering insight into your motivation, way of thinking, and academic maturity. We help you structure clear, compelling responses aligned with the programme’s focus and the university’s requirements.
Personal statement
Your personal statement connects your background, experience, and ambitions with your chosen programme. Through a guided process, we help you shape an authentic and focused narrative that demonstrates both your strengths and your direction.
Letters of recommendation
We advise you on selecting appropriate referees — whether professors, mentors, or coaches — and guide the content of the recommendations to ensure they present your abilities, achievements, and academic readiness in a credible and compelling way.
2. Standardised tests
Standardised tests are often an essential part of the application and a key selection criterion. Depending on the level of study and chosen programme, these may include language exams such as IELTS or TOEFL, as well as tests like the SAT, GMAT, or GRE.
At Arte et Marte, we help you identify the relevant exams, determine the optimal order in which to take them, and align your preparation with application deadlines. Our preparation is based on proven methods, official and up-to-date materials, and a clear strategy for achieving your target score.
3. Submission of documents
Once all elements of your application are prepared, the process moves into the administrative phase. Documents must be collected, translated where necessary, certified, and submitted in the required format, in accordance with institutional guidelines.
At this stage, we ensure that your application is complete, consistent, and submitted without technical or formal errors.
4. Interview
After submitting a strong application, some universities invite candidates to an interview — either in person or online. Although often the final stage, the interview plays a significant role in the overall evaluation and requires thoughtful preparation and clear communication.
Interviews assess communication skills, clarity of goals, and the way a candidate presents themselves within an academic context. Questions typically build on your application materials but may also explore your motivation, personal interests, and future plans. Non-verbal elements also matter — confidence, structure of responses, and natural delivery all contribute to the overall impression.
At Arte et Marte, we offer targeted interview preparation through one-on-one sessions and simulations. We help you structure your answers, refine your delivery, and develop the confidence to present yourself clearly, calmly, and authentically.
